CloseCore for Microsoft Teams

CloseCore for Microsoft Teams delivers month-end close notifications directly into Microsoft Teams — review notes, task assignments, status changes, sign-offs, reminders, and alerts — and lets users sign off on tasks straight from a Teams card. The app requires a CloseCore account.

The app keeps accounting teams in sync without switching tools. CloseCore sends selected notifications to each connected user's Teams chat, with enough context to understand what changed and actions or links to continue the work.

What the Teams app does

CloseCore sends Teams messages for selected accounting close events. Users choose which notification types should go to Teams from their CloseCore Notifications page. Messages are delivered as Adaptive Cards in the CloseCore bot chat and do not require users to add the bot to any channel.

Teams cards can include task names, review note activity, reconciliation status, transaction alert context, close progress summaries, sign-off actions, and links back to the relevant CloseCore workflow.

How CloseCore works in Teams

After connecting, Teams notifications appear from the CloseCore bot in your personal chat. Depending on the notification type, users can review task context, see due dates, sign off on tasks directly from the card, or follow a link to the related CloseCore record. The screenshots below show three representative examples; CloseCore supports additional Teams notification triggers listed later on this page.

Act on status changes from Teams. Status-change cards show the task, due date, previous and new status, and a Sign Off button so reviewers can approve work without leaving Teams.

Follow review note conversations. Review note cards include the note content, author, close context, and a View Note action to open the note in CloseCore.
A CloseCore Teams digest showing overdue tasks and sign-off reminders
Scan close digests. Digest cards group sign-off reminders, overdue tasks, and reconciliation items with Sign Off actions and links back to CloseCore.

After installation

When the Teams connection succeeds, CloseCore shows a confirmation in your Teams chat and marks Teams as Connected on the Notifications page. That page shows the next step: enable the Teams checkbox for each notification type you want to receive.

You can start with a small set of notifications, such as review note assignments and task status changes, then return later to adjust Teams, email, Slack, or Zoom preferences. The same page is also where you disconnect Teams.
